PRESENT:

Maintaining a full time ceramic design and fabrication studio in Freehold, NY. Creating architectural tiles and murals for public art works in New York City and private and public installations. Producing the UDU DRUM: signed, limited editions of an all clay hand built musical sculpture based on a traditional Nigerian folk instrument.

1985 - 2014 Teaching udu drum and handmade tile workshops in US and abroad including NCECA, Rochester, NY, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA, Montclare Fine Art Museum, Montclare, NJ, Pewabic Pottery, Detroit, MI, Parsons School of Design at Altos de Chavon, Dominican Republic and Harvard University, Camridge, MA.

2013 NYC MTA Dyckman Street Subway Station fabrication of 17 ft. Moonscape Mural
(for artist Wopo Holup)

2011 Commissioned by the New York Public Library to design and produce a limited edition of 300 Commemorative Centennial Tiles honoring the 100 year anniversary of the 42nd Street Stephan A. Schwarzman building.

2007 NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs – DOWNTOWN FLUSHING PROJECT (45’x7’ceramic mural of my design and fabrication for Lippmann Arcade)

2002 NYC MTA – UTICA AVE SUBWAY STATION (fabrication of 48 18’x18’ ceramic tiles for the architect Hugo Consuegra)

2000 NYC MTA Arts for Transit – WHITEHALL ST. SUBWAY STATION R line (design and fabrication of all art tiles, murals and bronze sculpture)
